staycation...

I was going to go out of town this weekend but opted to stay here in Santa Monica instead. I was able to enjoy Lowes Hotel. It was a very relaxing weekend filled with too much food, people watching and of course some shopping! Here are some images from my weekend hope you all enjoyed yours!!

For me, Memorial weekend usually signals the start of summer. Though the weather in Los Angeles has not been the hottest you can definitely feel the the vibe of summer! Here are some of the things I am looking forward to in the coming months!

why go bare...

I know the thought of accessorizing your bikini may not be something for all. I on the other hand  love it! Whether it be a simple leather cord with shells, chunky necklaces, a stack of bracelets and bangles, or a pair of statement earrings. I also like that you can individualize your look by adding a hat, scarf or even a fresh flower.  I always love getting dressed up and will find any reason to do so even if it is a bikini! So just have fun with it!!

        

                                            

Mermaids...

Since Pirates of the Caribbean came out today, I thought I would try one of the polishes from the OPI Collection. I have always had an obsession with mermaids so originally I wanted to buy Mermaids Tears but ended up loving the color of Stranger Tides instead. It is a beigy/sage color. I absolutely love it!!

At the Chanel Cruise 2011 show Rachel Bilson wore an outfit in black and white that is definitely outfit worthy for a night out when the nights start warming up here in L.A.  Love the leather shorts, pointy pumps and that quilted clutch... I can't wait to recreate this look! I would wear the blazer at dinner then remove it once we were out on the town!

Another trend I am obesssed with is the fit and flare jean. This weekend I was on the hunt for my perfect pair which for me is the Citizens of Humanity Angie. It comes in several shades they were sold out in my size in all but white which are now mine! They are pictured in the last pic! Love the higher waist and the exaggerated flair. My quest for the other shades continues...
